Using yahoo small business web hosting and i have tried adding favicon but it is not displaying. anyone?

i have copied the ico to the root of my hosting and added the following HTML tag inside the %26lt;head%26gt; ... %26lt;/head%26gt;

Using yahoo small business web hosting and i have tried adding favicon but it is not displaying. anyone?
Make sure you are using a web browser that supports displaying of favicons, like FireFox.
