Looking for a good and economic Web Hosting company for a family web page, any suggestions?

I would like to include pictures and a couple of videos in my web site. Normally, I use FrontPage 2003 to build web pages, would I be able to use that program with the plan you are suggesting or should I use their software?

There is, actually, a website that seems to fit your needs...i am the one who could testify and guarantee to the good service they are giving the members..

the website im bragging you has a EULA about posting videos and pictures in nudity..(it should not be accessed by everyone except by contact, or your account will be terminated without second thought).

you can post:

1. reviews

2. blogs

3. links to important webpages

4. videos

5. pictures

6. calendar of activities

and make a personal touch to your page according to your mood..(i often tell friends that it is like yahoo when it comes to communication, more than YouTube when it comes to video, more than friendster when it comes to connection)

you can also terminate or block users you dont like..when it comes to the design of the page, there are more than what you think of..i can link you to a professional web design that could be used in the webhost im telling you...let's MULTIPLY!

no need to use frontpage to build your page, if you know the codings..you can directly apply the process in the making of your web, through their own software...try it, to prove my pride!

Howe about a blog instead?

http://www.blogger.com
Reply:webhostingbuzz.com is very cheap, only $48/year (cheaper with multiple years). It includes a free domain. It does include frontpage support.

One thing when looking for web hosting for a personal or family pages is that the amount of space offered is pretty irrelevant, after all webhostingbuzz offers 300GB of space, larger than many computer's hard drives. So keep that in perspective. Focus instead on what you need for you site, like frontpage support, MySQL databases, or fantastico (to install common scripts like wordpress and phpBB.)

You may want to investigate free web hosts, but they usually put ads on your site, and you usually get a yourname.freewebhostco.com website.

Also, avoid GoDaddy, they nickel and dime you for each and every service most companies include for free.
Reply:You can try some Web hosting company like

www.freewebs.com

www.free.prohosting.com

www.gromohosting.com

www.geocities.com

www.brinkster.com

www.godaddy.com

www.cybercitiesindia.com

www.freeservers.com

www.o-f.com

www.150m.com

www.just1900.com

www.just-100.com

Some of them provides free services, The price depends on the amount of space and facilities you are getting from the hosting company, if you are going to create a website in which you are going to keep Pictures and Videos then you need a higher bandwidth and also large space. if you are thinking of a low price website then i recomend you "www.gromohosting.com" it provides facilities like: 4000 MB Space, unlimited data transfer, one domain name, unlimited E-mail ids, all the database are free, full control panel and also a free website builder.

you will have to pay only 1500/- per year.

And if you are creating a website in frontpage then you'll have to keep in mind that you should host the website from that hosting company which supports frontpage. other than frontpage you can try macromedia dreamweaver or other softwares to design your website, if you create website in software other than frontpage then you can host your website from any hosting company.

If you like my suggestion then vote me.... ;-)
