Does the web hosting I choose affect search engine priority?

I am in the process of getting a web page. I have received quotes that couldn't be more different. One factor in my final choice will be effective design and search engine priority.





One designer offers web hosting packages the other has quoted to find the most effective web hosting solution for my needs.???????





What do I need to know about hosting???please answer as if I know nothing about it....thank you so much!

No it should not. Google ranks results based on how may pages link to yours not on who hosts your we page.

Search engine priority is not ranked by which web host you have, but by the amount of web traffic (number of times your website is viewed) your website receives. I currently have 1%26amp;1 hosting my website and they offer more bandwidth than I will ever need. Bandwidth is the amount of megabytes or gigabytes that is used in transfers of data each month. Balthaser.com offers a very interactive website builder and will host also. They do not offer very much bandwidth though. Every time someone views your page, your amount of bandwidth will reduce for that month, but will be refreshed once the month rolls over.

Reply:No the hosting package cannot affect your page rank. There are other guidelines that you can follow as a developer to enhance your page's rank.





To understand these, you have to understand how search engines work. For example, how a search engine searches for links in your page to other site pages.





For example, when a page with a high rank points to your site (i.e. they have a link to a page of yours), the search engine will consider your page to be "important"





This is a wide subject, but you have to know that how your page was coded affects how much search engine friendly it is. i.e. whether search engines are capable of reading its contents efficiently and easily.
Reply:A stable hosting is very important, it will affect your seo, like if your hosting easy break down, then Search engine can't find your pages, in this case, it will affect your search engine priority.

not unless they have website submission, find the top 10 search engines and you can usually submit your site for free, there are many other search engines out there but most people use the most popular like yahoo google msn ect.... you cannot pay to have your page highly ranked unless you do pay per click advertising.


I signed up a couple years ago with onthespothosting.net, submitted


my url to the major search engines and set up goolge adwords and yahoo's overature. I get decent traffic but I pay a pretty good amount of money for it, It is said that the more revalent info on your site will push you up in the ranks, but everything is so saturated nowadays so you probably will not get a good spot
