I would like to start up a small business, but would like to see if it will take off first. Does anyone know a website that offers free website hosting that can enable me to be able to sell things online (eg shopping cart and checkout features?)

Reply:I think the answer is no free website would support an online business, it just doesn't make sense. However there are very cheap web-servers available and you could also set one up yourself in your own home if you have broadband (ADSL). Of course you'd have to tell your ISP if you do that and perhaps pay a small business rate. It's up to you naturally but running a business from a free website would add their ads to your pages which could take your business away. Good luck!

Reply:If you are serious about websites either for personal or your business, don't go to free web hosting as they are usually not reliable and you may end up losing all your hard work. Free web hosts usually put advertisements on your websites and it could be annoying.
